Artist Biography
Emma J. Eady (b. 2003) is a figurative and wildlife artist from Carrollton, Georgia, where she currently resides. In May 2026, she completed her BFA with a concentration in Painting and a minor in Creative Writing at the University of West Georgia. Her practice focuses on oil paintings and alternative process photography on textile.
Emma’s work predominetly features female figures and animals. Her cyanotype works on denim show precious fragments of her childhood while her oil paintings show the gradual transition between childhood and adulthood and depictions of the harsher realities of growing up and becoming an adult.
This juxtaposition may feel jarring; however, Emma feels that if her audience looks within themselves, they will be able to relate. She wants people to engage with themselves and find where these moments fit into their life. For Emma, art has always been a language—a way to communicate honestly and vulnerably, sparking meaningful conversations along the way.
